Here is how to wash and care for your 209 Mare garments in order to not have to replace them. Instead use the money we are saving you, to buy new styles and colors.

We first and foremost recommend dry cleaning all towelling garments at a trusted dry cleaner in order to preserve their integrity and longevity.

TAKING CARE OF YOUR 209 AT HOME:

Step 1. If you choose to wash them at home, we recommend using organic detergents with no harsh chemicals. Here is a list of the ones we recommend:

Step 2. TURN GARMENT INSIDE OUT. This will protect the labels and the hardware. If you have a laundry bag that you can use to place it in while washing and drying, even better.

Step 3. Wash at 30 degrees and allow to tumble dry.

Step 4. Place in the dryer at medium heat for maximum 10-12 minutes.

Step 5. Hang the garment once the process is finished.

Step 6. Steam the garment into shape with a steamer or carefully iron by going over the garment only once in each direction.

I bought my first toweling jacket in black in 2021 and got a lot of atten attention with it in Saint tropez and Mallorca on the boat, in Cabo de san Lucas and even Las Vegas. I am very pleased with the fabric and style.
Intentionally I bought it for the boat also for during the day, but realized that the black color is more convenient for after sunset or to wear it without a shirt for fancy dinner parties like at Rosa Negra or L'opera.
I really like the new 2023 model for even thinker and better fabric as well as for the colors that make it really possible to wear it during the day on the boat like advertised.
I am an early adopter traveling much around the globe and from Europe to US, South Africa and Asia people were really thrilled about the jacket.
I am looking for to the new collection for next season.
